The DNS zone is your domain’s address book: how to add the required records, and what to do if they already exist.
The DNS zone is your domain’s address book: it tells the Internet where to find your website, your emails, etc. It’s managed through the provider where you purchased the domain (OVH, Gandi, Ionos…), in a section called “DNS Zone” or “DNS Management.”
Add the required records
- Open your domain’s DNS zone at your provider.
- Copy the records displayed in WebAcappella exactly as they appear (type, name, value)—the copy buttons help prevent typos.
- Save: Our automatic check detects your settings every 5 minutes, so there’s no need to stay on the page.
What are they for?

| CNAME | Links your domain to our servers—this is what directs your visitors to your site. |
| TXT | Proves that you are the domain owner and enables the issuance of its security certificate (HTTPS). |
Does a record with the same name already exist?
Simply replace its value with the one specified in WebAcappella. Don’t change anything else: your other records (especially email) aren’t affected.
