Choose and purchase your domain name

Find a good name, choose the domain extension, and purchase it independently: your domain belongs to you.

A domain name (such as monrestau.fr) is purchased from an accredited provider, called a “registrar,” and is registered in your name: it belongs to you, no matter what. We do not sell domains and do not take any commission on them. You can buy it wherever you like, then connect it to your site.

Choosing the Right Name

  • Short and simple: easy to remember and dictate over the phone, with no accents or spaces (hyphens are allowed).
  • Relevant to your business: the name of your company or profession, as your customers know it.
  • The domain extension is the part at the end of the address: .fr inspires trust in France, .com is the best known internationally; .be, .ch, or .ca depending on your country.

Where to buy it, and at what price

All providers sell the same domains: choose the one you prefer (OVH, O2switch, Ionos, Gandi…). Expect to pay €10 to €15 per year for a .fr or .com domain.

After purchase

  1. Open the Domain tab on your site and select “I already have a domain.”
  2. Enter your domain: we’ll prepare the exact settings to copy over to your provider.
  3. Follow Connect Your Domain Name: the connection process is guided step by step, and your domain remains with your provider (including email accounts).
